 Pain therapy
I have been having pain therapy since 1999. In the beginning it was quite successful ( I took 20mg. Oxygesic Retard 3 times a day and up to 60 drops of Morphine 2%) After the effect had decreased I was put on 24mg. Palladon 3 times a day and up to 60 drops of morphine 2% but it does not help at all. My complaints are strong stabbing pains in the feet and mild pain in the lumbar spine. Would the injection treatment bring about an improvement? I am 67 years old and do not suffer from anything else. I would be pleased to receive a reply.

Yours sincerely,

H. Göbel

pain therapy Answer: Pain therapy

Dear Mr G.,

It is always wise to find the cause of complaints and to treat them if possible. In this respect one could carry out a local injection therapy on the spine. By blocking the nerve roots or injecting the facet joints a long term improvement can be achieved.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. med. S. Böll
